From this Friday, The Nest Box will be sharing live streaming images of our resident Wirral Barn Owl on their Facebook page, This project has been over a year in the making and we are extremely grateful to Jamie for his expertise in making this possible.

We hope that The Nest Box followers enjoy the images and consider assisting us with our Barn Owl conservation efforts.

NEST BOX – LIVE VIEW

We have audio, the microphone in the nest box is now live and transmitting, which we hope will enhance your enjoyment of the live stream.

Our resident female Barn Owl is generally very quiet, but we have heard her calling before going out for the evening.

WIRRAL BARN OWL TRUST MEETING.

Due to the restrictions and the current Lockdown, the next scheduled meeting, which was due to take place on Thursday 26^th November 2020, has been cancelled.

Our next meeting, Covid permitting, will be the AGM in May/June 2021.

We hope that you will continue to follow and support us during these difficult times and we really do appreciate your Barn Owl sightings.

We are continuing to develop and improve the live stream from our Barn Owl nest box and have introduced Picture in Picture (PnP) which enables us to monitor the entrance to the loft whilst continuing to stream footage of our resident adult female Barn Owl.

We are still working to include sound, however for those who are interested in some of the scientific information we now have a dashboard that provides details of the temperature and humidity in the nest box. You can access this information at:
